| The first thing you need to do is read your syllabus. The syllabus is a contract between you and the instructor of the class. |

Textbook: Read before coming to class: If you read before coming to class, you can clarify anything that you might have misunderstood as you read. Read Actively: Reading in bed in front of the television is not active reading. Read where you are not distracted. Use the SQ3R method. |
| Attend Class |
Take Notes: The power points used in class are available to you in PDF format. You may want to print them out and bring them to class. Review and Rewrite your Notes: I recommend that you review and rewrite your notes. Do not review immediately after class. Wait an hour or two but don't wait more than 8 hours. |
