LAMP – “Lighting Our Way To Success!” --LAMP contains listings for all library material including books, periodicals, audio-visual items, and course reserves. --LAMP also features electronic resources in the form of subscription databases that provide access to articles (many in full-text) from newspapers, magazines, journals, and reference sources. --The library holdings at the University of California, Riverside (as well as many other library catalogs) are also accessible from the LAMP system. |

Orientations & OTHER “INFORMATION COMPETENCY” INSTRUCTION |
--Arrange to bring your students to the library so we can show your students how to make best use of the library and its many resources and services. --Orientations can be tailored to your course. Collection Development |
--If you wish a book or other item added to our collection, please let us know by filling out the yellow “Riverside Community College District - Collection Development” form. --These are available from the Reference/Information Desks at any of the three campus libraries, where you would return as well. |

reserves Items you request be placed on reserve are available to students 3 days after your request. |
--If you have study questions and/or answers, workbooks, textbooks, or photocopies of articles that you would like to have available for your students at the library, please complete a “Riverside Community College District Library Reserve Request Form,” available from the Circulation Desk at each campus library. --Return the form along with the reserve items to the Circulation Desk at the library of the campus where you’ll teaching. --These items will be available to students within three (3) working days of your having submitted a Reserve Request Form. --Students can check what you’ve placed on reserve by selecting RESERVES in LAMP (our online catalog), then searching either (a) by the last name of the instructor who requested items be placed on reserve or (b) by the name of a course for which items are on reserve. |

inter-campus loans |
--Need a book or video from another RCCD campus library? Contact the Circulation Desk or the Reference/Information Desk of your respective campus library. --Within three (3) days of your request, you should be notified that the item is being held for you at the Circulation Desk of your respective campus library. NOTE: Books and videos checked out from one campus library may be returned to any of the three RCCD campus libraries. |

inter-campus photocopies Photocopies available to you within 5 working days of your request. |
--If you need an article from a magazine, journal, or newspaper that’s (a) NOT available full text online via one of our periodical databases … OR (b) that’s NOT available in hardcopy from your respective campus library … but IS available in another RCCD campus library, then for $0.10 per exposure ($0.05 per exposure for microform) we can have a copy of the article you want sent to you. --Allow five (5) working days for delivery of the photocopied article to your campus library. |

interlibrary loans At this time, available only to faculty, not students. |
--Books and possible other materials not available from any RCCD campus library, can be requested via Interlibrary Loan. --There may be a fee for this service if the lending library charges for processing and shipping of items requested from another library. --Contact the Reference/Information Desk of your respective campus library for details. |

curriculum development |
--If you’re proposing a new course or program to the curriculum committee, the curriculum process now calls for a Joint Review of Library Resources and the signature of a library designee. --Call Linda Urquizu, the Library’s representation on the Curriculum Committee, at (951) 222-8657 for more information |
