  • ON CAMPUS: From any computer connected to the Internet that's available for student, staff, or faculty use - for example, in the DLLRC:
    • The 200 computers in the COMPUTER COMMONS, 2nd Floor, East Wing
    • From computers elsewhere in the DLLRC - 2nd Floor, West Wing and 3rd Floor at the top of the stairs and to the left
  • OFF CAMPUS: From your home or any place else - 24 hour a day, 7 days a week - using computers connected to the Internet
    • NOTE: When using LAMP from OFF CAMPUS to access our many ELECTRONIC RESOURCES - since we subscribe to these, you must "authenticate" or "validate" that you're officially affiliated with RCCD (as a student, staff, or faculty member). Here's how:
    • From LAMP's Electronic Resources - Periodical Indexes, E-Journals, or Reference Resources - click on the resource you want.
    • A small window appears asking for an ID and Password
      • Your ID = your 7-digit student, staff, or faculty ID number
      • Your PASSWORD (typed all in lower case, one character string) = the first letter of your first name and up to six letters of your last name (if you last name has six letters or less, type your entire last name

  • NOTE: Use the 14-digit number on the back of your library card to activate ...
    • Via the "Cybrarian" log-in system Any of the of the 200 computers in the Computer Commons - DLLRC 2nd Floor, East Wing
    • Or the 4 computers on the west side of the computer tables near the Information (Reference) Desk -2nd Floor, West Wing

PRINT/COPY CARD

  • Buy yours with a $1 bill from vending machines in the Photocopy Centers (2nd & 3rd Floors, West Wing)
    • NOTE: The first $0.50 of this $1 is for the card itself, leaving you $.50 worth of copies on the card; keep the card like a credit card to add value to it, and when doing so you get full value for each $1 (or more) that you add to the card.)
  • Use these cards:
    • In the Photocopy Centers to use the copy machines.
    • From the Print Center (2nd Floor, West Wing) to release whatever you’ve printed from the library computers
