Course Description

This course is designed to help you become more computer literate, and to help you develop the necessary computer skills needed to be employed in today's automated business offices.

Discussion topics include the History of the Internet, the World Wide Web, E-commerce, Search Engines, and the funamentals of Web Design, as well as evaluating various kinds of Web pages.

Course Objectives

You should be able to:

1. Identify the fundamental computer terminology used in business and associated with the Internet.
2. Use words and concepts related to today's technologies.
3. Set up and use electronic mail.
4. Design a simple Web page.
5. Evaluate three Web sites.

Prerequisite

There is no prerequisite for this course. Lots of patience and determination, however, are very helpful!
